With so many calcium and magnesium supplements to choose from, how are you to know which is the best calcium supplement for you?
The RHP® Calcium & Magnesium is different from most calcium supplements in that it contains unique forms of plant-sourced calcium and magnesium from the Atlantic.
Unlike most other supplements, RHP® Calcium and Magnesium draws its calcium and magnesium from marine vegetation which is richer in minerals than vegetation from the land.

The Amazing Benefits of Calcium and Magnesium
Why Getting Adequate Daily Calcium and Magnesium is So Important
Most people think the main reason to take a Calcium and Magnesium supplement is to build strong bones. But the need for Calcium and Magnesium is so much more complex than that. Calcium is the most abundant and the most important mineral in the body, yet it is the most difficult to get absorbed and utilized by the cells.
Apart from being found in the bones, calcium is also involved in transmitting nerve impulses, maintaining muscle tone, assisting in the function of hormones and enzymes as well as playing an important role in blood clotting.
Scientists have discovered that the body fluids of healthy people are mildly alkaline (high pH), whereas the body fluids of the sick are acidic (low pH). Calcium is responsible for maintaining the proper body fluid pH.
To stay alive, your blood must remain slightly alkaline. For example, when you drink a cola (highly acidic), take medications or consume foods that are acidic to the body, it uses up calcium to buffer the excess acid to keep the pH of the blood slightly alkaline.
If the body can’t get the calcium it needs from its reserves, it takes it from the bones and this leads to more problems, such as osteoporosis. Thus, calcium reserves are extremely important to maintaining good health.
Plant-Based Calcium vs. Rock-Based Calcium
Read the labels of most calcium supplements and you will be amazed to see that many calcium supplements are in the form of calcium carbonate. This is an inorganic form of calcium. It typically comes from ground up oyster shells, chalk, limestone or coral. It is believed that only about 5% of calcium carbonate is absorbed by the body!
Our Calcium & Magnesium nutritional supplement contains unique plant forms of calcium and magnesium from the Atlantic.
The human body is designed to utilize nutrients from plants. The closer to the plant source in the food chain, the greater benefit in terms of nutrient utility.
Proper absorption and utilization of these minerals are extremely important in restoring and maintaining good health.
Additional nutrients such as Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2, and Boron are included in this formulation of calcium and magnesium to support proper mineral assimilation.
Aquamin is a unique Marine multimineral complex, providing bioactive calcium, magnesium and 72 other trace marine minerals, for the fortification of food, beverage and supplement products.
Unlike other mineral sources used in food, beverage and supplement preparation, Aquamin is derived from 100% seaweed, which absorbs trace minerals from the surrounding seawater. This form of absorption, coupled with Aquamin’s unique structure, results in a mineral rich supplement online that is neutral tasting, free of chalky texture and easily absorbed by the human body.
Marine vegetation is richer in minerals than vegetation from the land. That is why we chose to make our Calcium & Magnesium utilizing Aquamin’s unique trace mineral profile gained from its marine source.
What is the best way to take and benefit from Real Health Products Calcium and Magnesium?
Take 4 capsules of Calcium and Magnesium every day — (2) two capsules with breakfast or lunch and (2) two capsules with dinner.
We absorb more of the minerals and nutrients our bones, nerves and body need when we take them along with a meal.
What is the best form of calcium to take?
There are essentially two types of calcium: inorganic, which comes from soil and rocks, and organic, which comes from living sources. Unlike many calcium supplements that rely on inorganic, rock-hard limestone, RHP Calcium & Magnesium uses only highly absorbable, plant-based calcium.
The human body is designed to utilize nutrients from plants. The closer to the plant source in the food chain, the greater benefit in terms of nutrient utility.
Why doesn’t RHP’s Calcium and Magnesium supply 100% of the entire recommended daily intake (RDI) of calcium?
Our bodies require more calcium per day than any other mineral.
We have more calcium in our bodies by weight than any other mineral. The average amount of calcium currently recommended by medical science is between 1,000 – 1,250 milligrams per day.
The trick is finding the balance we need with our calcium intake. If we don’t get enough calcium, our bodies and bones will suffer. If we get too much calcium, our bodies could also suffer.
Our RHP Calcium & Magnesium was designed so that you’d get the ideal amount of calcium between your diet and nutritional supplementation.
What else can I do to help my bones?
First and foremost, nourish your body with the best nutrients possible. You can do this by simply eating more fresh fruits and vegetables every day, along with good quality proteins.
In addition, by taking RHP Calcium & Magnesium every day, along with a good multi-vitamin supplement, you will be both feeding your bones and body with what they need and building up your nutrient reservoirs.
Lastly, one of the most important things is to engage in some form of regular exercise. We provide many exercises that almost anyone can do through our blog: Daily Exercises for your health.

Supplement Facts
Comprehensive Calcium and Magnesium Supplement – Utilizing the Power of Nature
Calcium and Magnesium
Aquamin® is a unique plant source calcium and magnesium mineral complex derived from red algae that naturally grows in cool, clean pristine Atlantic waters.
Aquamin® is a naturally occurring mixture of bone building nutrients, containing calcium, magnesium and several other bone supporting ingredients such as boron and silicon.
It is important to balance your calcium intake with magnesium, because these two minerals act together as a synergistic team.
Calcium and magnesium must dissolve in your stomach before it can be absorbed in your intestines and used by your body. Aquamin® dissolves in the stomach and therefore is much more bioavailable.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 (often referred to as Vitamin D) is an important nutrient and your body requires it to absorb calcium.
Vitamin D3 is actually manufactured by the body if we get enough sunshine. However, there are other ways to get Vitamin D such as exercise and calcium from our diet.
Most of us do not get enough exercise and fail to eat calcium rich foods like vegetables and/or dairy products, or oily fish. That is why we tend to supplement with a Calcium and Magnesium that includes Vitamin D.
Additionally, without enough vitamin D, one can’t form enough of the hormone calcitriol (known as the “active vitamin D”). This in turn leads to insufficient calcium absorption from the diet.
Vitamin K (as Vitamin K2 MK-7)
Bacteria produce this type of vitamin K. It is present in high quantities in your gut, but unfortunately is not absorbed from there and passes out in your stool. Vitamin K2 goes straight to vessel walls, bones, tissues and your liver.
Vitamin K2 activates a protein hormone which is needed to bind calcium into the matrix of your bone, which appears to help prevent calcium from depositing into your arteries. So while increasing calcium is good for your bones, it is not so good for your arteries, which can become calcified.
Boron
Humans also require boron. About 3 milligrams of boron daily reduces urinary excretion of calcium and magnesium, especially when dietary magnesium is low. This suggests that boron may promote bone health and may help to prevent osteoporosis as you age.
Without boron, the absorption of calcium can be limited and often under-utilized. Boron is an essential factor in facilitating the bone-building effects of key nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D.
