RHP PetRemedy Glucose Support Formula
Instructions for Use

Hello!

The RHP® PetRemedy™ Glucose Support Formula is a major nutritional breakthrough for cats, helping to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and increase energy levels, while giving them a higher quality of life.

We have put together this information for people who are newly starting their cat on the PetRemedy Glucose Support Formula.

Nutritional deficiencies in cats are created by a diet far too high in carbohydrates and a lack of nutrients.

The PetRemedy Glucose Support Formula plus feeding your cat smaller and more frequent meals (using the right low carbohydrate foods) will help.

Directions for Use:

The PetRemedy Glucose Support Formula is a powder that comes in capsules.

Just twist open the capsule and thoroughly mix the powder in with the food. Mix one capsule with the morning food and another capsule with the evening food.

The PetRemedy Glucose Support Formula contains nutrients that will help your cat’s body metabolize blood sugar more efficiently. We can help you improve your cat’s health, which is done by diet and nutrition.

Cat Foods and Feeding Your Cat:

Carbohydrates are simply glucose molecules hooked end-to-end in long chains. Your cat’s normal digestive process breaks down these chains into the individual sugar molecules that load up the bloodstream with sugar.

If this happened every once in a while it would not be a problem. But as most cat foods today are so high in carbohydrates, your cat has had a constant high level of sugar pouring into its bloodstream year after year!

This required your cat’s body to continuously produce high levels of insulin to keep that sugar level down. (Insulin’s job is to push sugar out of the bloodstream into the cells where it is used for energy.)

I am including a link to an article by a medical doctor on the effects of Carbohydrates in Nutrition so that you have a better understanding of how they affect your cat’s body: http://www.petremedy.com/cat/db/carbohydrates_in_nutrition.htm

The main point here is that you must stop feeding your cat sugar in the form of carbohydrates!

You need to get rid of any dry foods as they are mostly carbohydrates.

Look at the ingredients on the cans of wet food. You want to choose a food where the top 4 or 5 ingredients are not: wheat, rye, oats, corn, rice, sorghum, potato or beans of any kind, or the flour or meal from any of these.

20 to 25 percent of your cat’s meal should be shredded green vegetables such as: broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, green lettuce, string beans, green peppers, snow pea pods, kale, etc., for needed roughage.

Just chop it by hand or in a food processor or blender and mix it in with the food. You may need to vary the types of wet food and shredded greens, but most cats will just chow down on it with no problem.
