A few notes on Chi and life's gifts and how to get them.
Chi is everywhere and nowhere. It is formless, intangible and motivated by universal mind. You are part of universal mind, believe it!
The separation (from each other - hence all the wars) we feel is due to the incorrect direction of our thoughts from a very early age by people who never knew the truth about how everything is connected. Consequently many people believe ( or are induced to believe) that they are powerless and useless and so easily controlled.
If you want to improve your life then start by improving your mind. There is no other way, as everything is directed by thought!
Just spare some time for yourself, sit somewhere nice and comfortable, take in the pleasant view and contemplate what you have and what you desire in your life.
Then ask! Ask as if you were asking a friend for what you desire. Be careful what you ask for!
Depending on your sincerity of thought, the request will be manifested according to your current state of readiness to accept the gift.
What! You don't believe it. You will manifest in your life all that you are ready to accept and no more.
Nothing will come to you if you are not ready or able to accept it!
Everything will come to you if you are ready and able to accept it!
Accordingly, you will get what you are ready to handle and nothing more!

Simple Qi Gong (loosely translated as 'working with Chi')
Correct breathing is the key to wellness. Breathe deep first into your abdominal area (Dantian or Hara) then after you fill the lower part of the lungs begin by expanding the chest. There are four breathing cycles -Inbreath, hold, Exhale, hold. Do each to the count of four.
Now extend the above.
On each inbreath, visualise Chi energy (white light or whatever you believe) entering through your head and flowing into your abdomen to an area 5cm or 2" below the navel and lock it there. Just make a mental note to hold it there and it will stay.
This Chi will build up. At the end of your exercise you may wish to release this Chi through your body to remove an obstacle, pain or abnormality. Just mentally guide it to wherever it is needed and then OUT of the body and make sure that this Chi leaves you and turns to a vapour well away from you and others.
Chi can be directed anywhere and can empower or disempower anything. But the result is all governed by the power of the directing mind.
Practice, practice and practice again, practice makes perfect - as one of my martial arts sensei's said to me many years ago - Sensei Masayuki Hisataka of the Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Dojo. This applies to anyone of course.
